You hold the key. Only you can overcome this adversary. You will need every ounce of courage you can muster. Every step you take will lead you closer to your destiny. Fire up your creativity, take the challenge. Use the power of gaming to engage your students. Create a collaborative, interactive wiki based on Hamlet or other thematic literary study or subject: science, math, history, etc. or social issue: poverty, bullying, racism, etc. Use Wikispaces to create an interactive site for your classroom - or expand and invite classrooms from around the world to participate. Set up the parameters, the point system, voting, and design. Students can add images, embed videos, link to sources, make polls in the construction of their posts. Use the principals of gaming to capture their attention. Engage their critical thinking skills by using issues relevant to them. Empower them through collaboration to create important works that are shared in a global classroom. All you have to do is open the door for them!
